RESEARCH PROGRAM
Resilience — Conceptualization and Measurement
Central area of research, developed since 2015, spanning three levels of analysis:
- Organizational level. Conceptualization of organizational resilience as a strategic crisis-resistance resource. Key achievement: Polish psychometric adaptation of the BRT-13 questionnaire, published in Quality & Quantity (Springer, 2026). Comprehensive treatment of the topic in an authored monograph (ASPRA, 2021).
- Community level. Development and validation of the original Polish Community Resilience Scale (PCRS) for measuring the adaptive capacities of municipalities. Project funded by the Norway Grants (EEA Financial Mechanism). Results published as a monograph (UKEN, 2025); Best Oral Presentation award (SSPCR 2025, Eurac Research, Bolzano).
- Individual level. Research on the relationship between personal resilience (Uchnast’s model), life values, and sense of meaning (Frankl’s logotherapy) — in the context of career choices and entrepreneurship.
Wine Economics — Applied Research Stream
Research on strategic choices of Polish winemakers in the context of a climatically marginal sector — in particular, the determinants of hybrid grape variety acceptance, the role of sustainable agriculture, and the psychological profile of wine entrepreneurs, with a special focus on personal resilience. Results presented at the 17th Annual AAWE Conference (Cal Poly, USA, 2025); article in press (Scientific Papers of Silesian University of Technology). Ongoing research: presentation at EuAWE 2026 (Trieste/Koper, June 2026).
