In the years 2012–2014, CEO of a research project financed by the National Science Center: (“Determinants of the marketing activity of Polish cities”. Project no.: 2011/03/N/HS4/01581)

Author of one book and numerous articles in journals (indexed, among others, in Scopus , Web of Science Core Collection).

He supervised 9 engineering theses, 10 bachelor’s theses, 5 final theses in postgraduate studies (all at UEK).

Auxiliary supervisor of 2 PhD’s:

· Promoted (as an auxiliary supervisor) together with prof. UEK, dr hab. Agata Niemczyk, one doctor (Mrs. Beata Paliś ), who defended her doctoral thesis entitled “Determinants of the development of shopping tourism in cities”. The defense and awarding of the academic degree took place in 2021 at the University of Economics in Krakow.

· Promoted (as an auxiliary supervisor) together with prof. dr hab. Andrzej Szromnik one doctor (Mrs. Ewa Zadęcka, attorney at law), who defended her doctoral thesis entitled “Possibilities of applying the slow city concept in managing the development of small towns”. The defense and awarding of the academic degree took place in 2024 at the University of Economics in Krakow.

During his student days, he was a scholarship holder of the Socrates -Erasmus program (2004-2005 – at Hochschule Anhalt in Bernburg) and participated in student exchange programmes with ASEM: Academia de Studii Economice a Moldovei in Chișinău (2004).

MEMBERSHIP IN ORGANIZATIONS

Active member of the Polish Scientific Marketing Society. Former Member of the Polish Economic Society.

REVIEWS AND GRANT AWARDING

Reviewer of grant applications at the National Science Center (2017), including the author of 20 individual expert assessments and an active participant in the expert panel making the final decision on financing.

Bronze medal for long service.
