On June 14, 2024, the Marketing Universiade will be held for the third time, co-created by students of Marketing and Market Communication under the leadership of Dr. Magdalena Dołhasz.
The honorary patronage of the event was taken by the rector of the University of Economics in Krakow – prof. UEK dr hab. Bernard Ziębicki.
The Marketing Universiade is a platform for didactic competition between student teams in the area of marketing communication. The mission of the Universiade is to stimulate interest and increase the level of knowledge, competences and skills of students in the field of marketing. A form of implementation of this mission are special teaching competitions, which allow students to compare their achievements in the academic environment in the inter-university arena.
The Universiade is a continuation of a several-year project of poster and teaching conferences, organized in 2015-2021 by the Department of Marketing of the University of Economics in Krakow. Teams from three universities participated in them – UE in Krakow, Jagiellonian University and the AGH University of Science and Technology.
The first edition of Universiade 2022 focused on the basic “marketing discipline” – marketing communication. In subsequent editions, the field of competition was expanded.
The Universiade was planned as a kind of sports competition in marketing, in which students will compete in various “marketing disciplines” presenting the marketing activities of enterprises and organizations.
During the Universiade, a “marketing triathlon” will be held, which will include:
1) making a poster of a scientific and educational nature,
2) preparing a professional Power Point presentation,
3) developing a solution to the problem – herd case – as part of workshops.
As part of the triathlon competitions will be held to select the winners in each subdiscipline: the best poster, the most interesting and professional presentation and the best solution to the problem during the workshops.
The institutional patronage of the Universiade is the CUE Foundation and the Polish Scientific Marketing Society.
