On 28 January this year, the laureates of the 2026 Stars of Internationalization competition were announced. The Rising Star award was granted to Dr hab. Katarzyna Sanak-Kosmowska, prof. UEK.

We are delighted to announce that our Colleague from the Department, Dr hab. Katarzyna Sanak-Kosmowska, prof. UEK and Director of the CUE International Collaboration Centre, has been awarded the prestigious Rising Star title in the “Stars of Internationalization” competition!
This exceptional distinction is granted to individuals who make an outstanding contribution to the development of international cooperation and who strengthen the global position of Polish universities and science.
Dr. Katarzyna Sanak-Kosmowska, Associate Professor at CUE, has been recognized for the dynamic expansion of her international activities — both in research and partnership initiatives — for strengthening cooperation with foreign universities, and for consistently building bridges between academic communities.
The awards in the Stars of Internationalization 2026 and Interstudent 2026 competitions were presented on 29 January during the gala of the “International Students in Poland 2026” conference held at the Wieliczka Salt Mine.
