Education:

Ph.D., social sciences; scientific discipline: management and quality sciences.
A graduate of the University of Economics in Krakow, specializing in Business Management.

Since 2007, she has been employed as an Assistant professor at the Department of Organization and Management Methods.

• Member of the Polish Economic Society
• Secretary of the Editorial Committee of the journal “Zeszyty Naukowe University of Economics in Kraków / Cracow Review of Economics and Management”, appointment for the 2016-2020 and 2020-2024 terms
• Director of HR and Payroll at Postgraduate Studies at the Krakow Business School
• Member of the team for the self-assessment report of the Management field for the purposes of PKA 2022 accreditation
• Member of the team for the self-assessment report of the Management field for the purposes of ACQUIN international accreditation
• Member of the team preparing the self-assessment report of the Management field for ACQUIN international accreditation
• Student Supervisor in the field of Management
• Member of the university team for obtaining the “HR Excellence in Research Award”
• Supervisor of the Consulting student Research Group in 2016-2021 operating at the Department of Organization and Management Methods
• Representative of the Department of Organizational and Management Methods for People with Disabilities.

Scientific/professional interests:

Author and co-author of over 160 publications in the field of management and quality sciences, member and contractor in project teams; repeatedly awarded for achievements in the scientific and organizational fields.

The main areas of scientific interest include: management in the public sector; entrepreneurship of public sector entities; business process management; information management; modern methods and concepts of management in business and public administration; competence management; the situation of women on the labor market; digitization and digital innovation of public sector entities; development of scientific management.

Classes/subjects conducted:

Experience in conducting teaching classes in the field of: organization and management methods; organizational research methods; research methods in management; information management, information processes in management; information management methods; inventics; contemporary management concepts; remuneration management; remuneration systems.

Assistant supervisor of doctoral theses and supervisor of bachelor’s and master’s theses.

Certified Academic Tutor since 2020.

Other achievements:

Dr. Angelika Wodecka-Hyjek is actively involved in the organizational activities of the University and the Department of Organization and Management Methods.

• since 2021, he is a member of the Organizing Committee of the periodically organized International Scientific Conference of the College of Management and Quality Sciences of the Krakow University of Economics and the editor of post-conference monographs
• in 2016, she was a member of the Organizing Committee of the 10th National Scientific Conference on: “Problems in the development of methodology in management sciences”, Wieliczka, September 16-17, 2016
• in 2023 she was a member of “Managing organizations in the digital era – challenges, trends, concepts” combined with the 50th anniversary of Prof. Ph.D. Janusz Czekaj.

Hobby:
My non-professional interests include a passion for theater and the history of Krakow’s monuments and Jewish culture in Krakow. I spend my free time at the theater and walking around the city, looking for “gems” among unknown places and monuments.
