Research Interests My research interests include, among others, the use of inventive techniques to solve organizational and management problems. The contemporary world is full of multidimensional, atypical problems that must be addressed using creative thinking techniques.
Creative thinking allows us to break established patterns, and a vivid imagination and fantasy should be encouraged not only in children. Inventive techniques stimulate a creative approach to problems and foster creative thinking, particularly in group work. In the creative thinking process, a problem is often “attacked” from all possible angles by formulating any and all ideas, with fantastic or even absurd suggestions being especially valued. In this process, ideas that appear to have nothing in common are often combined. After all, who would, through routine and schematic thinking, suppose that a coffee grinder could be used for de-icing power lines, or that the anatomy of an elephant could inspire water pump construction technology?
