Activities at the Krakow University of Economics
The Professor has been continuously associated with the Krakow University of Economics since 1971. He began his scientific and teaching path in the Department of Organizational Techniques at the Institute of Organization and Management, and then continued in the Department of Organization and Management Methods. In 1996, he took the position of Head of the Strategic Analysis Unit (which was then functioning within the Department of International Management). Later, he headed the Department of Strategic Analysis at the Institute of Management, in the College of Management and Quality Sciences. From 1995 to 2002, he held the honourable position of Vice-Rector for Studies at the Krakow University of Economics.
Expert and Extra-University Activity
Prof. Marek Lisiński has extensive experience in the area of education quality assessment. From 2003 to 2019, he was a member of the State (later Polish) Accreditation Committee. In his academic career, he also served as the Head of the Management Department at the WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza, where he directed the Doctoral Seminar, Doctoral Studies, and Doctoral School, as well as chaired the Scientific Discipline Council for Management and Quality Sciences. He is currently a faculty member at the School of Management and Banking in Krakow.
Scientific and Research Achievements
The Professor’s scientific interests focus primarily on the methodology of management sciences and strategic management.
- Publications: He is the author of over 200 scientific and popular science works, including highly regarded monographs, articles, textbooks, scripts, and didactic materials.
- Business practice: The Professor is a co-contractor of nearly 50 expert opinions and research/design works, most of which have been successfully implemented in business practice.
Awards and Honors
For his outstanding contributions to science and education, the Professor has been honoured with, among others:
- The Silver Cross of Merit,
- The Medal of the National Education Commission,
- The Golden Badge of the Scientific Society for Organization and Management (TNOiK), in which he has been actively involved for over 30 years.
