The project “Enhancement of Qualifications and Competencies of the Teaching Staff at the University of Economics in Krakow” secures over 4 million PLN.

Translation into English: The project entitled “Enhancement of Qualifications and Competencies of the Teaching Staff at the University of Economics in Krakow” submitted under the call No. FERS.01.05-IP.08-002/23 “Development of Qualifications and Competencies of Teaching Staff” within Priority 1 Skills, Action 01.05 Skills in Higher Education of the European Social Fund 2021-2027, as part of the National Center for Research and Development program, has been qualified for co-financing.

The total value of the project is 4,292,605.00 PLN.

The coordination of activities related to the preparation of the project was undertaken by Dr. habil. Mariusz Sołtysik, Prof. UEK, from the Department of Labor Resource Managementt.

The project will be led by Dr. habil. Jarosław Plichta, Prof. UEK, from the Department of Trade and Market Institutions.

The project activities aim to achieve or enhance competencies or qualifications of the teaching staff or doctoral students in four areas, namely:

  • Pedagogical – the project involves developing pedagogical skills of the teaching staff and doctoral students, including the use of modern teaching methods and didactics. The priority is to improve the skills of knowledge transmission and conducting classes to ensure effective and efficient teaching. The substantive coordinator for this area will be Dr. habil. Małgorzata Adamska-Chudzińska, Prof. UEK, from the Department of Psychology and Didactics, College of Management and Quality Sciences. 
  • Digital – the project plans to develop digital skills of the teaching staff and doctoral students. Contemporary information and communication technologies play a crucial role in education, so it is essential to have knowledge and skills related to the use of digital tools in the teaching and learning process. The substantive coordinator for this area will be Dr. Małgorzata Snarska, from the Department of Financial Markets, College of Economics, Finance, and Law.
  • Towards Green Transformation – the project also emphasizes the development of competencies of the teaching staff and doctoral students in the field of green transformation, particularly in the context of climate change and sustainable development. The substantive coordinator for this area will be Dr. habil. Mariusz Sołtysik, Prof. UEK, from the Department of Labor Resource Managementt., College of Management and Quality Sciences. 
  • In the scope of universal design, entrepreneurship, and commercialization of scientific research results. The substantive coordinator for this area will be Dr. Eng. Konrad Kolegowicz, from the Department of Economics and Organization of Enterprises, College of Management and Quality Sciences.
